Dude, I swear that the same thing happened to me! (I didn't mention before it cuz I figured everyone would think I was nuts)

so, when I noticed it not working (a while ago)... I kinda 'shelved-it' for a while, and just one day I tried it again and viola...

And today it's back in the land of the living.  I even seem to have got it more sensitive than ever.  It's very odd.

I even checked the hi-hat response curve in case I'd accidentally changed it - but it was still on 1, and that's what it's on now (having tried the others).

Hi all,

Anyone else get one of these?

I got one back in April 2017 and it seems it's just failed after two years -- I can't get a retrain to hold for more than a few seconds now, it's been gradually getting worse over the last few months.  (The hatPedal I had before lasted about 10 years, so I'm a bit disappointed.)

Since installing the chip...

have you still been having the same troubles...?

did you re-initialize the MalletKat and re-Train the pads after the install?

I have a SD2, and use the Vibraphone sounds, good. Now I bought a SD1000 and the Vibraphone sounds is not the same. When I hit a pad, the sound I heard is like I?m using the pedal to sustain the note. Why

Hi Frank
If you ever get false triggering, it just means that you have to raise the thresholds of the pads.
Step on both the Edit footswitch and the sustain two footswitch down.  The screen will say THRESHOLD ADJUST. Simply tap on the FORWARD key a couple of times and the problem will vanish.

BETA VERSION 1
August 2019 - The malletKAT Editor for Mac is now available directly from the Alternate Mode Website

Built on Mac OS X 10.14, but (should) work with Mac OS X 10.11 and above.



After downloading, most Mac users will need to hold the CTRL Key down to open it.
This is because it is not being made available through the App Store.

Sysex files created with the editor are stored in the Documents folder.

Because we are calling this version Beta, we are still working through some minor issues.
