A friend of mine shot some video at a recent gig.
The tune is pretty representative of how I do a solo gig.
There's a backing track in Ableton that is cut up into different sections.
This allows me to have a solo section last as long as I'd like.
Then each section is accompanied by loops also triggered in Ableton Live.
In this tune the horns and synth fills are backing the different sections of the solo.
For this performance, the perc. pad above the Kat is controlling Live.
Overall audio quality is low seeing it was direct off the camera but, it's good enough
to give you an idea of what's going on.

http://www.m13productions.com/MidiMalletUno.htmlGear specs for those interested in such things:
4 oct. MalletKat with 3.0 software
Roland SPD 20 (Yeah, Yeah I know I'd be better off with a DrumKat but, it was all I could afford.[the DrumKat would def. limit the impact sound])
Roland JV1080 synth For this tune I'm playing two layered patches that I tweaked from a stock patch.
Mac Book 10.5 running Ableton Live 7 and Reason 3
