Piezo and eRIM FSR on same input
February 12, 2017, 05:19:24 PM
I'm wanting to have a mesh head piezo and an eRim on the #3 tom1 input. I've got the special adapter for a piezo trigger and an FSR trigger on the same input, but can't get it to work. The DITI manual on page 133 talks about how to use this adapter, and it says to use pad type FSR+RIM. My DITI doesn't have this pad type. And there isn't a pad type by this name on the Sysex download area.

It says the A channel is the piezo and the B channel is the FSR. I can get the pads to work separately, but I can only get the piezo to work with the adapter; no FSR eRIM.

Any thoughts?

sorry, I just noticed this post...

... do you have the latest version of the DITI firmware installed?

I have 2.5 Jan 3, 2017. It looks like the latest is 2.5 Jan 13.

I've tried it again, but still no luck. Any thoughts?

one thing that I have been meaning to verify with The Wizard....firmware and global Sysex and all kits sysex seem to all need to upgrade together...??

reason being... I believe kits that I made before using different (or older) firmware/sysex and saved will not work properly with the newer firmware etc...

Again, I may have to consult the wizard

if you haven't gotten the latest sysex grab that global and all kits dump and try again as a suggestion, and i can dive into it a little deeper later tonight...

doesn't the fsr need two leads one for the output and the other to power it, and a piezo doesn't need power ...?
