I've been using a MalletKAT in combination with a modular synthesizer lately and stumbled into the 'Alt' layer mode.  This seems perfectly suited to a mono synth.  Was this the original purpose? I'm just curious.

Alternate Mode, toggles between Controller One and Controller Two with each subsequent hit.  It doesn't matter what the function is on each controller.  Every time you hit a pad, it will alternate between them

vasol, thanks for sharing this. I've always been a bit at loss as to how the Alt mode could come in handy. This is a nifty trick.
