Are there any tools or patch librarians that make it easier to manage patches in a mallet kat?

I'd like to swap a lot of the sounds on the user patches with others from the kurzweil sound set as well as rename them.

Is there a faster way than doing it via the pads?

Thx!

Sorry,
not that I?m aware of.

You could get a laptop in between to send PC messages, but that would be an overkill ;)

Why overkill?  Its mainly just an occasional - perhaps a one time thing.

Do any of the general purpose patch librarians offer any options?

Thx!

On Windows, you can use MIDI-OX to receive and transmit SysEx dumps.

so I guess I can edit the file with notepad and search and replace?   Yikes.  Even my Casio CZ101 still has a patch librarian program.

Thx

I was never able to get my MalletKat to receive MIDI-OX dumps, no luck even asking Mario.  I can save, but not restore.  His guess was that it was timing related, and the dumps were overwhelming the MalletKat's buffers.  Tried slowing things down, but no luck.

Did you have any luck?
